ヒトノロウイルスは直径約40 nmの正二十面体ウイルスで、VLPは殻のSドメインとそこから伸びる突起のPドメインからなる。resting状態ではPドメインが約1 nm持ち上がる（赤の矢印）。色スケールは粒子の半径を示す。
