KAIST Develops ‘Chameleon AI Semiconductor’ with Programmable Response Speeds (IMAGE)
Caption
Figure 2. Structure of an integrated PDM array with diverse temporal response characteristics and its performance in multiscale time-series signal processing. By assigning different time constants—from fast to slow responses—to individual devices, the PDM array can process multiple time-series signals in parallel while simultaneously extracting information across different timescales. Based on this approach, the array reduced prediction errors by more than 40-fold for composite-frequency time-series signals and by more than 4-fold for multivariate chaotic signals, compared with methods based on a single fixed temporal response.
