Threshold behavior (a), spatial profiles (b), and formation mechanisms of two non-Hermitian soliton families (c,d). (IMAGE)
Caption
Skin-mode-assisted solitons show decreasing formation thresholds as nonreciprocity increases, whereas nonreciprocity-dressed solitons show increasing thresholds. The two families correspond to two opposite mechanisms: wave-packet spreading is suppressed by skin-mode localization and enhanced by band nonreciprocity.
