The continuous-flow platform demonstrates the practical integration of solar-driven freshwater production and selective methane conversion. Under one-sun illumination, the system achieves a freshwater production rate of 1.25 kilograms per square meter per hour and a chloromethane production rate of 79.5 millimoles per square meter per hour using concentrated desalination brine. Stable operation over 15 days with efficient aluminum additive recycling further supports the feasibility of solar-driven offshore chemical manufacturing.
