Front and back views of the self-stratified stretchable passive cooling interface.
Image caption:
Photographs of the front and back surfaces of the SPCI under stretching. The white and opaque front surface is associated with the aluminum-oxide-enriched upper region, which strongly scatters and reflects incoming sunlight. The metallic appearance of the back surface indicates the preferential distribution of liquid metal in the lower region, where it forms a thermally conductive network for heat spreading and dissipation. The photographs also demonstrate the softness and high stretchability of the interface.
