Material selection process through computational approaches

Out of 56 candidate materials tested by computer simulation, only 3 passed every test: staying physically intact, not breaking down chemically, being able to grab onto CO2, and actually speeding up the reaction. Those 3 survivors are the most promising candidates for turning captured CO2 into something useful.
