A new $915,000 NSF award will expand fiber-optic connections at Georgia State’s CHARA Array, nearly doubling its “vision power” and giving astronomers a sharper view of stellar winds and how massive stars evolve.

And its impact reaches far beyond Mount Wilson: CHARA brings together an international research community spanning 361 institutions and 42 countries.
