The spectrometer learns from the sample. A pulse sequence is tested directly on the sample in the spectrometer, and the measured signal is fed back to a Bayesian optimisation algorithm. The algorithm uses the result to propose the next pulse sequence. In this way, the real sample and the instrument itself become part of the optimisation process.
