Demonstration of how the varifocal display adjusts the focal distance of virtual images. The white spheres represent virtual objects. By adjusting the focal plane to different depths, the display allows the virtual objects to be brought into focus at their corresponding distances, providing more natural accommodation cues. (a) Focal plane adjusted to a nearer distance. (b) Focal plane adjusted to a farther distance.
