A screenshot highlighting types of calculations that could be performed using the Horizontal Construction App. Developed in partnership by the Office of Naval Research Global’s TechSolutions program and Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, the app is aimed at naval Engineer Officers and Engineer Chiefs performing horizontal construction (e.g., building and maintaining roads and airstrips). The Horizontal Construction App — which can be downloaded on a smart phone or tablet — enables these warfighters to make precise production calculations and estimates faster and more accurately.
