Resource estimates for full-metasurface FDTD calculations under a fixed-thickness model

(a) Estimated cost of a single FDTD solve and the ideal memory-capacity-based aperture limit versus the number of eight-GPU nodes, with a nominal bandwidth-matched CPU comparison. (b) High-bandwidth memory (HBM) capacity and bandwidth for a reference GPU configuration and projected memory-generation scenarios. The estimates apply to individual FDTD solves under the stated assumptions, not complete inverse-design runs or other solvers. Future HBM values are illustrative projections rather than confirmed product specifications.
