Stem Cells Show Promise for Treating Infertility in Cancer Patients (2 of 2) (VIDEO)
Caption
This movie shows guidance and positioning of the echo-dense (white) injection needle into the echo-dense rete testis space and subsequent injection of the donor cell suspension using positive pressure. The donor cell suspension contained a microbubble ultrasound contrast agent (Optison), which enabled real-time visual monitoring of the injection progress. This movie shows the injected cell suspension radiating from the needle tip through the rete testis (in both directions) and subsequently filling the seminiferous tubules.
