Imaging Probes Light up Cells with Greater Sensitivity

University of Edinburgh researchers have developed new imaging probes to light up specific parts of a cell in a matter of seconds. These pictures show the probes in action in fungal cells but they could also be used on human cells to detect the early warning signs of diseases such as cancer.
