Vertical and horizontal distribution of oxygen, nitrogen compounds and iron in seawater in the oxygen minimum zone off Peru. Decreasing concentrations of dissolved iron do not coincide with the occurrence of oxygen but with the increase of dissolved nitrogen compounds.
