Varied Optogenetic Stimulation Changed Mouse Behavior

In response to continuous optogenetic stimulation to their striatal output neurons, mice turned in one direction, as is typical of mouse models of Parkinson's disease. When exposed to pulsed stimulation, the animal's brain activity normalized and they turned the opposite direction.
