Dr. Ron Lacey, Dr. Fred Davies, and Dr. Chuan He, (Left to right) are collaborating on a NASA grant to find ways of growing fresh produce in conditions that mimic the atmosphere on the moon and Mars. Lacey, an agricultural engineer, designed the growth chambers. Davies and He, horticulturists, are planting and monitoring lettuce production.
