Fine-Tuning at the Atomic Level Can Result in Better Catalysts 2 (IMAGE)
Caption
A group of researchers at Chalmers University of Technology have found a way to make catalysts more efficient and environmentally friendly. Professor Henrik Grönbeck, PhD Student Mikkel Jørgensen, Professor Eva Olsson, Doctor Torben Nilsson Pingel and Doctor Andrew Yankovich have managed to show that picometre-level changes in atomic spacing in metallic nanoparticles affect catalytic activity.
