Students Using Solar Power to Create Sustainable Solutions for Haiti

Students at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute designed, built, and installed a 2.4-kilowatt solar power system on the roof of a school Lascahobas, Haiti. The system is robust enough to power 10 tablet laptop computers donated by Rensselaer, plus additional laptops the school and other nearby schools received from the One Laptop Per Child program.
