Illustration of Entanglement in Information Distribution Networks (IMAGE)
Caption
Illustration: When distributing entanglement between sender A and receiver B, the communication line is segmented by inserting quantum repeaters. In this illustration A is entangled with Quantum Repeater I while B is entangled with Quantum Receiver II. After entanglement swapping at the quantum repeaters, entanglement is shared between A and B. The quantum repeaters no longer hold any entanglement and cannot be used to intercept messages.
