A fox runs on the road that connects Deadhorse, Alaska, to Oliktok Point where a Sandia National Laboratories team spent a week monitoring the Arctic Ocean. The Arctic is home to a variety of wildlife including migrating whales and seals. The team hopes to capture undersea recordings of animals using distributed acoustic sensing and a fiber optic cable.
