A UN-backed study has revealed that 41,500 tons of used electrical and electronic equipment -- almost 70% of the 60,000 tonnes of UEEE reaching Lagos in both 2015 and 2016 -- arrived inside vehicles destined for Nigeria's second hand auto market, an import route never before thoroughly assessed. Another 18,300 tons arrived in shipping containers.
