Rainfall Data on Midwest Storms (IMAGE)

On May 2, 2018, at 6:28 a.m. CDT (11:38 UTC) GPM found that a few storms in Kansas were dropping rain at a rate of over 1.4 inches (35.6 mm) per hour where storm tops in northeastern Kansas were already reaching heights above 8.6 miles (13.9 km).
