This mage of the GRB130831A was taken with the Liverpool Telescope located at the Roque de los Muchachos observatory. The position of the stellar explosion is marked in the center of the image. This event took place about 4.9 thousand million light years away. The distances were comparable for the other two stellar explosions, 5.7 and 6.9 thousand million light years away, respectively.
