Measured quantum oscillation frequencies in the magnetization (dHvA) of CeRh6Ge4 as a function of field direction rotated (c) within the ab plane of the orthorhombic structure and (d) away from the c-axis. These measurements, performed at 0.3 K and in applied fields ranging from 150 to 450 kOe, compare favorably with band-structure calculations that assume the 4f electron is localized (a), (b) but are dissimilar from calculations (e), (f) that assume the 4f electron is itinerant.
