ESPI images of the singing bowl showing the (2,0) mode. The lines represent contours of equal displacement. The frequency of oscillation is shown in the upper left corner (in Hz). The two images are of the same modal structure, rotated by 90 degrees. A slight asymmetry in the bowl breaks the modal degeneracy by 0.6 Hz.
