Anchoring of the PACT bottom unit during the RV Poseidon expedition 360, on Nov. 5, 2007, north of the Canary Islands. The PACT bottom unit was deployed at 3100 meter depth in 2km horizontal distance from the MARUM-operated permanent fixture. The PACT surface unit, receiving, storing and transmitting acoustic telegrams, is attached to the MARUM fixture at approximately 10m depth.
