Generators and utility equipment repaired by US Marines with Support Company, Combat Logistics Battalion 3 (CLB-3), 1st Marine Logistics Group (Forward) sit on a lot at Camp Dwyer, Afghanistan, Feb. 17, 2011, before being delivered to forward operating bases. The Office of Naval Research recently demonstrated a power unit using a solid-oxide fuel cell that requires nearly half the fuel of diesel generators currently in the field.
