Delaware high school student Connor Sweeney authored a paper detailing the ways that plants warn their neighbors of impending danger by sending airborne chemicals. 'It doesn't shout or text, but it gets the message across,' said Harsh Bais, a professor of Plant and Soil Sciences at the University of Delaware, who mentored Sweeney on the project.
