Charged Aerosol Release Experiment (CARE II)

An Image of the Charged Aerosol Release Experiment (CARE II) dust cloud as observed from a NASA B200 aircraft using a Sony Alpha7S camera. The cloud shows an upward hemispherical expansion of the dust 45 seconds after ignition of the CARE II dust release designed by NRL and NASA/Wallops. The NASA/Wallops aircraft supported five camera systems provided by the Naval Research Laboratory, SRI International, University of Maryland, and NASA Goddard Space Flight Center.
