研究者らは太陽電池を過酷な条件にさらし、実際に遭遇すると考えられる最悪の気象条件をシミュレートした。太陽電池に自己修復エポキシ樹脂ポリマーを施すことにより、太陽電池から環境への鉛の漏出を最小限に抑えることができた。
