Comparing the Size of Choroidal Neovascularization in the Retina (IMAGE)
Caption
The pre-assembled CRISPR-Cas9 complex was injected under the retina of mice. One week later, genetic modifications in their genome and the size of the choroidal neovascularization in the retina were measured to evaluate the therapeutic effect of this gene editing technique. IBS scientists observed a 58% reduction in the size of the choroidal neovascularization compared to the negative control group (Rosa26).
