Nanhudashan, Central Range, Taiwan -- A new study generalized empirical findings to propose a novel macroecological pattern -- species elevational range sizes in vertebrates are inversely influenced by diurnal and seasonal climatic variability in opposite ways. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the March 25, 2016 issue of Science, published by AAAS. The paper, by W.-P. Chan at Academia Sinica in Taipei, Taiwan, and colleagues was titled, "Seasonal and daily climate variation have opposite effects on species elevational range size."
