2015年9月7日，主持美国 GEOTRACES考察的USCGC Healy和主持德国GEOTRACES考察的RIB Polarstern相会于北极。2015年夏季共开展了3个GEOTRACES考察（第三个是CCGS Amundsen主持的加拿大GEOTRACES考察，未在照片中）；这一国际性的协作努力将为整个北冰洋化学变化提供更为完整的了解。
