After administration of dl-3n-butylphthalide, cortical neurons in rats with diffuse brain injury have a clear nucleolus, smooth karyotheca, better con-tinuity, regular mitochondria shape, mostly tightly and regularly arranged complete cristae, and less shedding matrix granules.
