Enhanced cellular uptake of Trastuzumab-Me-PRX conjugates in HER2-expressing tumor cells.

Fluorescence microscopic images of HER2-positive BT-474 cells treated with FITC-Me-PRX (green) and FITC-Tras-Me-PRX (green) for 24 h (Scale bars: 10 μm). The nuclei (blue) and endosomes/lysosomes (red) are stained with Hoechst 33342 and LysoTracker Red, respectively. The cellular uptake of Me-PRX in HER2-positive tumor cells is remarkably enhanced by the conjugation with Trastuzumab, leading to potentiating the autophagic cell death of Me-PRXs.
