An infrared image from NASA's Aqua satellite on May 5 at 02:17 UTC showed very cold (purple) cloud top temperatures in thunderstorms around Donna's center. Coldest cloud tops were as cold as minus 63 degrees Fahrenheit or minus 53 degrees Celsius.
