This timed-release drug delivery technology is a silicone ring loaded with the glaucoma drug bimatoprost. The ring was shown to lower eye pressure in glaucoma patients by about 20 percent over six months. Results were published May 5, 2016 in Ophthalmology, journal of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
