Unmodified and New Rice Strains Tested in Pots under Natural Field Conditions (IMAGE)
Caption
After treatment with agrochemicals, unmodified rice strains flowered in early October -- the same time as those that were not given the chemicals -- while the new rice strain flowered in mid-September. In contrast the new rice strain not administered the agrochemicals had not flowered yet even on Oct. 20 when this photograph was taken.
