One-Year Patency Comparison: Surgical vs. Ellipsys Fistula (VIDEO)

Recent studies indicate percutaneous fistulas created with the Ellipsys Vascular Access System may last longer compared to surgical fistulas. A new study from Alexandros Mallios, MD in the Journal of Vascular Surgery reports a secondary patency rate of 96% at one year, compared to average patency rates of 55-60% reported in the literature with surgical fistulas.
