To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Caption On July 3, NASA's TRMM satellite passed over Arthur and saw intense bands of thunderstorms north of Arthur's well defined eye dropping rainfall at a rate of over 98.4 mm (3.9 inches) per hour. Those areas had "hot tower" thunderstorms reaching 16km (about 9.9 miles) high.
