A research team, including UMD Geology Assistant Professor Nicholas Schmerr, repurposed data from instruments aboard NASA’s Curiosity rover (left) to measure subtle changes in gravity on Mars, in much the same way a lunar rover (right) measured gravity on the moon during the Apollo 17 mission in 1972.
