Pilot-Scale Burns

Caption

Pilot-scale burns of 100 square-foot plots of standing grass indicating that plots treated with viscoelastic fire retardant fluids weathered extensively and exposed to the environment do not burn, while untreated plots burn within 1 min. The images were taken 1 min after ignition.
