To perform an analysis of gas and electric HVAC systems in energy-efficient Maryland homes, computer simulations of the Net-Zero Energy Residential Test Facility were carried out with a unique NIST tool set of databases and software known as BIRDS (Building Industry Reporting and Design for Sustainability).
