Kenya-born Dr. Juma, professor of the Practice of International Development at Harvard Kennedy School, recently co-chaired the High-Level Panel on Science, Technology and Innovation of the African Union and is a trustee of the Aga Khan University.
He has been elected to the Royal Society of London, the US National Academy of Sciences, the World Academy of Sciences, the UK Royal Academy of Engineering and the African Academy of Sciences. He serves on the selection juries of the Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering and the newly aunched Africa Prize for Engineering Innovation.
