Edgar, the alpha male of the Mitumba community, gives a full pant-hoot call. He starts the introduction while sitting down, then begins walking and moving faster as he reaches the climax of the pant-hoot, shaking saplings and accentuating his climax by drumming (kicking the resonant buttress of a large tree). Other chimps join in with other calls as Edgar pant-hoots. The short shotgun microphone of the person recording the call comes into view during this sequence.
