Jennifer Young (front), Guru Ramu (left), A.J. DiGregorio (back), Emily Wilson (middle), and Paul Cleveland (right) are flying their laser heterodyne radiometer on a CubeSat mission called Mini-Carb to measure three types of greenhouse gases. NASA has never flown this type of instrument in space, although it has been demonstrated in field campaigns.
