Miikka Korja, University of Helsinki (IMAGE) University of Helsinki Caption Dr. Miikka Korja completed neurosurgical training in 2010, and completed further subspecialty training in vascular neurosurgery in 2011 under the mentorship of Professor Juha Hernesniemi at the University of Helsinki (Finland), one of the largest centers for the treatment of brain aneurysms in the Western world. Dr. Korja is currently appointed as a Visiting Associate Professor at the Australian School of Advanced Medicine, Macquarie University, and is researching the development of new biological treatments for brain arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) under the mentorship of Professor Marcus Stoodley.
