It appears that resistance to antibiotic drugs doesn't only occur when people use antibiotics too often. An international team of scientists, including researchers from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, has found antibiotic resistance genes in bacterial samples from an isolated South American tribe of people who never had been exposed to the drugs. Jim Dryden reports.
