NASA-NOAA's Suomi NPP satellite provided an infrared view of developing Tropical Storm Nestor in the Gulf of Mexico on Oct. 18 at 3:41 a.m. EDT. Around the center of circulation cloud top temperatures were as cold as or colder than minus 112 degrees Fahrenheit (minus 80 Celsius) (n black).
