Mature adult Aplysia californica (sea slug) raised at the National Resource for Aplysia at the University of Miami's Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science. The NIH-funded facilitiy cultures and raises these animals for the purpose of studying memory and cognitive processes.
